Using VDK Hub Features

Learn how to use all the features VDK Hub offers to enhance your AI assistant experience.

Overview

VDK Hub provides several powerful features to help you find, organize, and use AI assistant blueprints effectively:

Blueprint Catalog

The main blueprint catalog is your starting point for discovering AI assistant blueprints.

Blueprints are organized into logical categories:

Core Categories:

  • Languages - Programming language specific rules (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Frameworks - Web frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js, Django, etc.)
  • Tools - Development tools and utilities (Docker, Git, Testing, etc.)
  • AI Assistants - Platform-specific configurations
  • Best Practices - Universal coding standards and guidelines

Viewing Categories:

  1. Visit the Blueprints page
  2. Click on any category card to browse that category
  3. Use the breadcrumb navigation to move between categories
  4. View subcategories when available

Blueprint Cards

Each blueprint is displayed as a card showing:

  • Title & Description - What the blueprint does
  • Category Badge - Which category it belongs to
  • Compatibility Icons - Which AI assistants it works with
  • Tags - Related technologies and concepts
  • Stats - Download count and community rating
  • Actions - Preview, download, or add to collection

Blueprint Details

Click on any blueprint to view detailed information:

  • Full description - Comprehensive explanation of what it does
  • Content preview - See the actual rules and instructions
  • Compatibility matrix - Detailed platform support
  • Usage examples - How it improves AI responses
  • Related blueprints - Suggestions for complementary blueprints
  • Community feedback - Ratings and comments from other users

Search & Filters

Find exactly the blueprints you need with powerful search and filtering options.

Search Functionality

Quick Search:

  • Use the search bar at the top of any page
  • Search by blueprint title, description, or content
  • Get instant results as you type
  • See search suggestions based on popular terms

Advanced Search:

  • Access from the main blueprints page
  • Search within specific fields (title only, content only, etc.)
  • Use boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT)
  • Search by author or contributor

Filter Options

By Category:

  • Select one or more categories
  • Include subcategories automatically
  • Clear filters easily

By Compatibility:

  • Filter by AI assistant (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)

Blueprint Generator

Create custom blueprint packages tailored to your specific needs.

Starting the Generator

  1. Navigate to the Generate page
  2. Click "Start Setup Wizard"
  3. Follow the step-by-step process

Step 1: Project Information

Project Type:

  • Web Application (Frontend, Full-stack)
  • API/Backend Service
  • Mobile Application
  • Desktop Application
  • CLI Tool

Primary Language:

  • Select your main programming language
  • Choose version if applicable
  • Specify any language-specific preferences

Step 2: Technology Stack

Collections

Organize and manage your favorite blueprints with personal collections.

Creating Collections

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Go to Collections page
  3. Click "Create New Collection"
  4. Enter collection details:
    • Name - Descriptive title
    • Description - What this collection is for
    • Visibility - Private or public
    • Tags - For organization

Adding Blueprints to Collections

From Blueprint Pages:

  • Click the "Add to Collection" button
  • Select existing collection or create new one
  • Add notes specific to this blueprint

From Collection Manager:

  • Browse all available blueprints
  • Use checkboxes for bulk selection
  • Drag and drop organization

Managing Collections

Collection Features:

  • Reorder blueprints - Drag to arrange by priority
  • Add notes - Personal reminders for each blueprint
  • Export collections - Download as packages
  • Share collections - Make public for team use
  • Duplicate collections - Create variations for different projects

Bulk Operations:
